Alex Darke & Trevor L. Nelson created this pilot episode of Pros & Cons for under $200 using the same techniques that Zach and Chris used for I'm Sorry and discuss in their course.
We pre-lit the space by gelling the pre-existing fluorescent lighting with Lee Filters 728 - Steel Green. This brought down the amount of light each fixture emitted as well as created the cool green tone that we liked. Complimentary color science tells us that Green and Orange play nicely together, so we mounted some Arri Locasters in the ceiling with C-clamps and set them to 2900K to give them some warm orange edges and tones.
Lighting it this way saved us a lot of time since everything was set for the whole scene and the camera could move around freely without seeing any lights or stands. This was crucial as we could only be in the location for 3 hours total.
